She Builds 2018 Sponsors
We’re not new to this, we’re true to this.
For 26 years we’ve repaired over 3,000 homes with over 73% being women-owned homes and 90% being women of color.
We’re excited to announce the date for She Builds OKC 2018! September 15th we’ll be in the Capitol Hill area (exact address TBA) alongside Strong Neighborhood Initiatives, repairing and remodeling two homes for women in the community! She Builds isn’t just about home repairs. It’s about getting women from all over OKC civically engaged in their own communities. We’ll be pairing up with Women Lead Oklahoma to learn the ends and outs of local government.
Love doesn’t cost a thing. Tools do though…
Our Crowdrise campaign is back but with an EXTRA bonus this year! Lots of local women-owned business have donated goodies for our SheBuilds gift basket. This basket will be awarded to the team/individual who raises the most funds via donations! This list includes:
…with more to be announced!!!
Got a squad?! Well, come on down! We would love to have you! A She Builds OKC team should consist of the following:
We’re asking each team to raise $1,000 and individual volunteers to raise $250.
WE KNOW! That sounds like a lot BUT split between 5 team members that’s only $200 per person! For individuals that’s a little over $20 from 13 FB friends! All money raised goes toward Rebuilding Together’s mission to revitalize communities, repair homes and rebuild lives. These funds will allow us to buy materials, pay for contractors to do the license-necessary work and tools.
Fill out the form below to get your team registered!

We’re holding our annual FREE SheBuilds workshop at our NEW office (945 Wilshire Blvd,OKC,OK 73116) on August 25th from 10am- NOON. We’ll teach you power tool basics as well as how to perform common home repairs! RSVP on Eventbrite!
It’s a party!
This year we’re adding a Block Party to the mix. On the event day, we’ll be hosting a block party in Capitol Hill (location TBA) from 10am-NOON. If you can’t build with us you can party with us! We’ll have plenty of family activities! We’ll have more details as we get closer to the day!
Is this a women-only event?
No! In 2016, 73% of the homes repaired by Rebuilding Together OKC were owned by women, 90% of which were women of color. This is why we’re partnering with Women Lead Oklahoma to highlight the importance of women taking leadership roles in making a difference for themselves and other women in the communities in which we live. So in short, all are welcome to participate but we’re inviting women to step up and lead the pack!
How old do I need to be to volunteer?
Age 14 and older.
Wait!I’ve never fixed anything!
No problem! Every year we provide a FREE workshop to give you the home repair skills before the big day and have some other fun events along the way! But….we’ll warn you after you learn these skills you’ll want to fix/build EVERYTHING!
Is workshop attendance required for She Builds OKC event participation?
While not required, it’s highly encouraged that you attend. We promise it will be a good time!
Does this cost anything?
Volunteering is free, as it should be. However, we’re challenging every participant to raise $250 and every team to raise $1,000 through the She Builds CrowdRise campaign! Every dollar is a commitment to Rebuilding Together OKC’s revitalization efforts provided year-round at no cost for neighbors in need.
You want me to raise money?
Yes, please. Hear us out! Setting up a CrowdRise profile is super easy and we’ve got tips and tricks to assist in your fundraising efforts along the way. No matter where you end up, we guarantee that when all of the She Builds OKC donations are combined, a huge impact will be made in the community we all hold so near and dear. P.S. since incentives never hurt anybody, raise the most and you’ll win a super pack of goodies from local women-owned businesses!!!
What’s the deal with team vs. individual sign-up?
Signing up as a team ensures you’ll be placed at the same site as your besties, co-workers, or crew. However, please note that every volunteer, team or no team, needs to go through the same individual sign-up process. If you would like to create a team for you and your squad fill out the form below and we’ll make it happen!
