Rebuilding Together OKC has joined forces with The Bridge Youth Impact Center to #RebuildTheBlock

#RebuildtheBlock is a new program by Rebuilding Together to help rehab and remodel aging infrastructure for our fellow nonprofits.

Here’s how it works:

  • Every year, Rebuilding Together will choose a nonprofit via an annual application process.
  • We will provide volunteers, project management, and building expertise to help alleviate material and labor cost
  •  Rebuilding Together and partner nonprofit work with the City of OKC, councilmen/councilwoman and community stakeholders for zoning laws, permits, etc.
  • Help the nonprofit find local corporations and business in conjunction with foundations to fund repairs to the nonprofit center

Our hope is to help nonprofits better serve their communities by providing them with safe and remodeled structures.

This year our partner nonprofit is The Bridge Youth Impact Center

A little about The Bridge Impact Center:

The Bridge Impact Center strives to create environments that positively impact youth.families, and neighborhoods in traditionally low-income communities through mentoring tutoring, college & career preparation financial literacy, the arts and community partnerships. In addition to meeting basic life needs, The Bridge offers both onsite and off-site programs structured to create formative, holistic development opportunities for youth and young adults.

The Bridge approach is baes on the 4 “E’s” that collectively aim to “bridge’ the gaps poverty creates in underserved communities:
